Second Day of the Season
The past couple of weeks have been gorgeous in Salt Lake City. This weekend was warm enough for us to have a picnic on our front lawn in the sun.
Last year I found out that you can ski for free at Alta after 3 pm on the bunny slopes. One of the bunny slopes is a nice lift that goes pretty high up, so not a bad deal if you just want to get in a few hours. This year, Wami found out that we could rent skis for Taisei for $8 too. So on Friday, we went up, grabbed some skis for Taisei and let him go. The skis were cute - 67 cm. The smallest boots were 15 cm, so maybe just a little big. But their lower weight limit is 25 lbs. Phew - made it by 3.5 lbs.
This was a busy day for Taisei. He went to the Little Gym this morning, skied in the afternoon and worked up a good (and rare) appetite for dinner. We used our BOGO free coupon at Ruby Tuesdays (compliments of slickdeals.net) and, for the first time ever, bought Taisei his own meal. He chomped down two mini-burgers (or "han-gerber!") and almost all the fries! We were amazed to see our little guy eating.

Wow,
I can't believe Taisei went skiing his first time before he was even three years old. You guys looked like you were going pretty fast, too. That was so fun to watch. His skis are so tiny. Amazing. You even got footage of his first full burger!

Wow, he will be a good skier, huh? I cannot wait to take little H on a slop too. But I am not as good skier as you are, so I need a teacher to teach him. That means I need to wait till he is three to put him in a class. hahaha
